2015 Komatsu PC240-8

Komatsu PC240-8 is the machine I check when the job already feels too heavy for a lighter 22-ton class excavator, but the buyer still wants to avoid the cost, fuel use and transport pressure of a much larger machine. It fits sand yards, stone yards, hard soil work, repeated truck loading, breaker mixed jobs, continuous loading and heavier earthmoving projects. It is not for narrow city sites, light landscaping, or buyers whose first concern is low fuel cost. We usually keep around three PC240-8 machines available. Current stock may include original-paint units, locally repaired paint units and fully repainted units. Working hours are usually around 1000 to 8000 hours. Undercarriage is often renewed before resale, but original-paint machines or machines still working on site may keep their current undercarriage condition. If the buyer needs, undercarriage renewal can be discussed before shipment. I do not recommend PC240-8 just because the model number is bigger. It makes sense when the job needs stronger bottom stability, larger bucket capacity, harder digging, repeated loading or breaker mixed work. PC240-8 is better for continuous loading, stone-yard work and heavier earthmoving where stability and bucket capacity matter more than transport flexibility. For used PC240-8 machines, price is not decided by paint alone.
